Ever wondered how Davy Jones and the crew of the Flying Dutchman were so realistically rendered on screen. This feat of cinematic magic was achieved using the technology called Image Motion Capture or IMoCap as it is more commonly called in the cinematic circles, again this innovation was achieved with some bodysuits, sensors and extra cameras and voila! Magic is created.
2. Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-03)

So many soldiers fought in the wars of the ring but the cast list was much less, guess why! It is because of awesome innovations called ‘Massive’ first used to great effect by Peter Jackson in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Before the films it was just about impossible to create a realistic battle scene (or any scene for that matter) of hundreds of thousands of people that were not really there or Computer Generated.
