10. Coldplay Wembley Stadium

Coldplay may not have had the most commercially successful music concerts 2016 witnessed, but that certainly did not stop them from producing a history-making performance at the Wembley Stadium. The British band sold out all their four shows, selling a total of 304,000 tickets – a feat few of the best music concerts 2016 hosted could achieve – and they did not disappoint in performance. Their performance is certainly one of the best music concerts 2016 has had and certainly one of the best live music concerts of all times.
9. Jay Z and Kanye West at the Palais Omnisports de Paris 2012

Jay Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne album is certainly one of the greatest albums of this decade. This was followed by an equally record smashing world tour which climaxed with an epic performance of Niggas in Paris in – you guessed right – Paris. Though Kanye in some of his music concerts 2016 – most recently last Sunday – decided to go on a rant against his former touring mate, the Palais Omnisports de Paris remains one of the best live music concerts of all times.
8. Michael Jackson’s Bucharest Live Tour 1992

Michael Jackson would always be remembered as a performing artist who pushed the boundaries stretching them to previously unfathomable limits. Irrespective of how he may be posthumously regarded, Michael is without doubt the greatest performing artist of our time. His shows remain a benchmark by which other artists are measured and he is credited with hosting some of the greatest music concerts of all times. One of these is the Bucharest Live Tour in 1992 whose video still holds fans spellbound till this day.
7. Stevie Ray Vaughan Montreux Jazz Festival 1985

Stevie wasn’t especially respected as a showman early during his career getting booed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1982 whilst performing with his band Double Trouble. Few appreciated his brand of music and it wasn’t until 1985 that a silent audience witnessed one of the best music concerts of all times, one still revered till this day. Thanks to the 1985 Montreux Jazz Festival performance, Stevie’s legend was cemented by until his untimely death in 1990.

Elvis’s numerous impersonators are a testament to the legend he was as a live performer. Till this day, some of his performances recorded nearly half a century ago, are still revered by music critics across the globe. None however, is as revered as the 1968 Comeback Special, which remains one of the best live music concerts of all time. Everything about the show was on point, failing to betray Elvis reluctance to actually perform. Even Elvis’s leather jacket is still on point till this day worn by many artists to music concerts 2016.

We know these show was certainly one of the greatest – if not the greatest – hard rock music concerts of all times. The band’s never give up attitude has always stood out and more so in this show playing over 50 songs in three straight nights.
4. Jimi Hendrix Experience at 1967 Monterey Pop Festival

How could it have been omitted? The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s first major appearance in America was by far the best live music concerts it had ever had. Spearheaded by American Jimi Hendrix and backed up by his London trio, they literally lit the stage like never before with Hendrix smashing and setting his guitar ablaze. This show remains a defining moment in rock history.

The performance with the other members of the acclaimed Jackson 5 will be remembered till this day. It was there that Michael debuted his signature moonwalk move baffling millions across the globe.
